Up to 3 out of 12 patients seen for follow-up visits in Hong Kong were unable to do things as they had before getting the coronavirus, according to a medical director at Hong Kong’s Princess Margaret Hospital. Dr. Tsang spoke about the findings at a media briefing on March 12, 2020. Dr. Tsang said it’s unclear as of now what long-term effects COVID-19 has on lung function. According to the South China Morning Post, the affected patients will undergo further tests and physiotherapy to improve their lung function.
