Imprisoned US Army whistleblower Chelsea Manning is recovering after a suicide attempt, mere days before she was set to appear before a judge in a petition for her release. She has been in jail since May for refusing to testify before a secret grand jury in the case of WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange. A judge ordered her release on Thursday.
